Regional Extension Strategy

A regional consultation workshop was held in Apia, Samoa on 24-28 August 2015 on the theme of Strengthening Agriculture
and Forestry Research and Extension Linkages for Sustainable Food Security and Trade. The meeting discussed challenges
and priority areas for Research, Extension and Advisory Services (REAS) in the region. The meeting outcomes and other

Publications 1

A PIRAS Board Meeting being organised by Land Resources Division (LRD) of the Secretariat of the Pacific Community
(SPC), with funding support from the EU-PAPP from 14-16 October, Nadi, Fiji. The main objective of the meeting is to (i) hold
consultation and validation of a Regional Extension Strategy (ii) develop a governance structure for PIRAS. The formulation
of this strategy began during the Pacific Regional Research and Extension Forum held in Apia, Samoa from 24-28 August
2015.
